Coronavirus update: Latest data reveals deaths in Bucks near 200

Data shows that 104 people have now died with coronavirus in Buckinghamshire hospitals between 5 March – 11 May and 89 people have died in care homes in the region between 10 April – 8 May. Statisitics for Buckinghamshire do not include Milton Keynes.
Across the country, 32,692 are now sadly reported to have died with coronavirus – an increase of 3,198 since the same time last week and 627 in the last 24 hours.

Hide AdOn Sunday evening, the Prime Minister launched a new set of slogans to communicate the Government's updated approach to tackling the virus. The new instructions are to: Stay Alert, Control the Virus, Save Lives.
During the televised broadcast Boris Johnson communicated some changes to the current lockdown restrictions. The key takeouts are:
- People who can't work from home should now return to work if they can do so safely
- Face coverings advised to be worn in enclosed public spaces (not medical grade face masks which should be reserved for healthcare workers)

Hide Ad- People can now meet up with one other person from outside their household if social distancing is maintained
- People can go out and exercise as often as they wish
- The minimum fine for breaking lockdown restrictions has been increased to £100
Mr Johnson also indicated that some schools could reopen in June.
Globally, 288,975 people are now known to have died after contracting coronavirus.
