Coronavirus update: Deaths in Bucks rise to 212

Data shows that 111 people have now died with coronavirus in Buckinghamshire hospitals between 5 March – 19 May, and 101 people have died in care homes in the region between 10 April – 15 May. Statistics for Buckinghamshire do not include Milton Keynes.

Across the United Kingdom a further 363 people have been reported to have died with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 35,704 in just 11 weeks.

Globally, 326,251 are now known to have died after testing positive for coronavirus.

The latest advice from the NHS to stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) is:

Stay at home as much as possible

There are only a few specific reasons to leave your home, including:

- For work, if you cannot work from home

- Going to shops to get things like food and medicine, or to collect things you've ordered

- To exercise or spend time outdoors

- For any medical reason, to donate blood, avoid injury or illness, escape risk of harm, provide care or help a vulnerable person

When outside your home, it's important to try to stay 2 metres away from anyone you do not live with.
