There have been seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Aylesbury Vale, the total is now 800, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There have been 10 new cases in Buckinghamshire, there are now 1,759 cases in the county.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.

There have been 305,623 lab-confirmed cases in the UK, rising by 938.

The number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths has been recorded as 46,210, rising by 9 (deaths of people who have had a positive test result) - according to Public Health England.

The number of deaths are people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from COVID-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Saturday, August 1, and 5pm on Sunday, August 2.
