Coronavirus latest - almost 400 new deaths in the UK in the last 24 hours

The death toll from coronavirus in the UK has risen by 381 overnight - the biggest increase in 24 hours so far. 1,789 have now died in total from the disease in the UK.

25,150 across the country have currently tested positive for the disease.

The confirmed number of cases of coronavirus in Buckinghamshire has moved to 147.

Today's figures were expected to show a spike in the number of deaths across the UK. This is because, until now, officials have only counted fatalities that take place in hospitals. But from today, they include victims who died at home or in a care home.
