Aylesbury home care company helps keep the elderly occupied during isolation

At home care company, Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire, has been busy delivering an over 60s activity booklet to its clients and the wider community to keep seniors who may feel isolated entertained and mentally active during isolation.

The free activity booklet contains a variety of puzzles, including wordsearches, riddles, sudokus and a general knowledge quiz.

So far, the booklet has been received by local sheltered housing associations, retirement homes, the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, Home Instead clients and local contacts who are feeling lonely and isolated.

Lee Harrington, owner of Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire, commented: “Although our caregivers have been there to provide companionship to our clients throughout lockdown, they noticed that many were missing their normal routines; attending clubs and seeing their family and friends, and many were becoming fed-up of the limited activities they could do within their own home.
