Aylesbury Covid cases in single figures again going into sunny weekend

There were just six positive tests in Aylesbury Vale in the last 24 hours, up two on the day before. It takes the total number of positive tests recorded since the start of the pandemic to 11,704 locally.

In Buckinghamshire overall, there were just 18 new cases of Covid confirmed in the latest data.

That means since the start of the pandemic that 31,470 people have tested positive for the virus in the county.

Total number of Covid-linked deaths since the start of the pandemic: Bucks: 979, Aylesbury: 341.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,678 to 4,401,109. The number of deaths has risen by 40 to 127,385.
