The Mandeville School appoints Debbie Shepherd as principal

The Mandeville School, following an extensive selection process have said they are 'delighted' to announce Mrs Debbie Shepherd as their new principal.

Mrs Shepherd joined Mandeville in September 2019 as Interim Principal having previously been Deputy Headteacher at Manshead Academy in Bedfordshire, and brings almost 30 years

of teaching experience to the school.

Following her appointment, Mrs Shepherd said: “I am thrilled to take on this role and am very excited to lead the school’s ongoing commitment to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school.

“The school already has many strengths – the staff and students being among them. The next steps for me as Principal is ensuring that the community has belief in what they can achieve.

“My thanks go to all the staff, students, parents and governors who have all been so welcoming since I first came here in September, and I’m looking forward to continuing our exciting journey nof improvement.”

Paul Boulting, Chair of Governors at The Mandeville School, said: “This is a fantastic outcome for the school and on behalf of the Governing Board, I would like to wish Debbie every success in her new role.

“This permanent appointment continues our aim to embed stability at the school and ensure we continue on an upward trajectory for the benefit of all our students and staff.”
