Coronavirus Update August 25: Cases in Buckinghamshire increased by 21 over the weekend

Buckinghamshire saw a big influx of cases over the weekend, and cases have continued to rise in Buckinghamshire today.

In Buckinghamshire there have been 1873 cases of Coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic a rise of six.

In Aylesbury Vale, there have been 833 cases a rise of four since yesterday.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.

The rate of infection in Buckinghamshire now stands at 343.2 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 497.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 1184 today, to 327,798.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
