Work on the Masterplan began in 2018.

The plan will aim to transform the town over the next 30 years into a place 'renowned for its green spaces, quality housing, sustainable travel and innovation'.

Several projects are already underway which will lead the way in the development of new sustainable technologies to address climate change.

It has been described as a 'once in a lifetime opportunity to improve the lives of our community'.

The Aylesbury Garden Town website says: "The plan is about so much more than just accommodating new housing.

"We will improve on the quality of new developments, embrace 'smart' technology, develop green corridors to enable people to travel in an active and healthy way and work with communities to help them create a sense of place and an inclusive place where everyone can enjoy a high quality of life."
