Another case of coronavirus has been recorded in Buckinghamshire, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 1,028 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am Wednesday morning (June 10) in Buckinghamshire, up from 1,027 the same time on Tuesday. A week before, there were 1,010 cases.

There have been 426 cases in Aylesbury Vale.

It means cases have increased by less than 0.5% over the last 24 hours, on a par with the rate of increase across the UK.

They were among the 22,125 cases recorded across the South East, a figure which rose by 35 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.

Across the UK, 290,143 people had tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Wednesday, up from 289,140 at the same point on Tuesday, Department of Health and Social Care figures show. As of 5pm on Tuesday, 41,128 people had died.
