A spokesperson for the school said: "This has been an unprecedented year for everyone but it is important not to allow the Covid-19 pandemic to detract from the great education that our students have received.
"Our Year 13 students have worked hard throughout and it is pleasing that the grades they have been awarded have reflected the effort they have put in. Contrary to some stories which were circulating in the national press about significant downgrading of A’ Level grades by the exam boards, we were pleased to see that the vast majority of our teacher predictions had been upheld by the exam boards.

"All students can be rightfully proud of the grades that they have achieved but, of particular note are Hannah Gage, who attained four A* grades in Classical Civilisation, English Literature, History and the Extended Project and has gained a place to read Classics at Oxford University and Meg Marsh who is celebrating A grades in Classical Civilisation, History and Politics before going to university to study Politics."
