Snow warnings as Buckinghamshire faces big freeze to finish 2020

Forecasters expect wintry weather to hit the county, but admit it's tough to pinpoint when.

Weather watchers admit Aylesbury Vale could see some snow today, tomorrow or, Thursday .. or not at all!

A band of wintry weather is heading towards Buckinghamshire from the north today and Met Office experts have already issued two weather warnings for Tuesday and Thursday this week.

But the only thing local forecasters say they can be sure of it is going to be a COLD end to year and start to 2021!

Today's warning for snow and ice expires at 10am while a second one kicks in at 10am tomorrow until 6am on New Year's Eve.

A Met Office spokesman said: "An Atlantic frontal system looks likely to bring rain into parts of southwestern Britain on Wednesday with a chance of this rain turning to snow as this moves further east into colder air.

"The extent of any snow is very uncertain, but 2cms to 5cms could fall across a swathe of southern Wales, central and southern England."
