Police launch manhunt after woman in 20s was raped in early hours of Sunday morning in nearby Bicester

At a time between 5am and 6am today (21/2), the victim, a woman aged in her twenties, was walking along Kingsclere Road.

She was approached by an unknown man, who is believed to have been accompanied by two other men. Following this the victim was raped.

The man who approached the victim is described as being aged in his twenties, around 5ft 10ins tall and of a muscular build, with shaved hair. There are currently no other descriptions available.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Mark Personius, of Banbury CID, said: “We remain in the early stages of this investigation and are working to establish the circumstances, but I would like to appeal to anyone with information to come forward and speak to us.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers at this time, and police officers are currently at the scene conducting reassurance patrols in the area. Anyone with concerns can talk to an officer.
