Police confirm altercation at Aylesbury school prompted pupils to be locked down

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident on Thursday morning.

Parents were told by email this morning that the school had gone into lockdown as police arrived at the scene.

Children and staff were asked to 'remain indoors' as they dealt with the altercation.

A statement issued to the Bucks Herald by TVP this afternoon said:

"Thames Valley Police was called to Booker Park School, in Stoke Leys Close, in Aylesbury, at around 9.10am today (24/9).

"Officers attended the scene, where it was reported that an altercation had taken place.

"Students were asked by the school to remain indoors while officers attended.

"There have not been any arrests made in connection with this.

"Anyone with information would be asked to call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43200300766."
