Lucy Dowson, of Visit Buckinghamshire & The Chilterns, said: “Our tourism and hospitality businesses have felt the full force of Covid-19, with their cash flow turned off overnight and just before the start of the Easter holidays. It will take many months, perhaps years for the industry to recover.”

To that end, the team at Visit Buckinghamshire, in partnership with Buckinghamshire Business First and Be the Business, have created a bespoke support package that will help businesses survive and be ready to bounce back when the time comes.

The first event starts on Wednesday the 20th May with a tourism and hospitality ‘Power Hour’. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded businesses, to share experiences and hear from a speaker at each session specifically chosen to share knowledge, top tips and inspire. Join online for the first event in the series and hear from Sally Williams of Retail Revival and the Risborough Basket. To book a place please click here.

Alternatively, join a small group of like-minded business owners weekly for a 90-minute Covid-19 Mastermind session over a 6-week period. Share and learn from other business owners facing similar challenges in a facilitated group session. This programme is a great opportunity to bounce ideas around, get valuable input from others and look at new ways to improve your business and refine your leadership skills. Places are limited, to express your interest please click here.

Plans are also underway to continue the successful series of masterclasses for tourism and hospitality business leaders in Buckinghamshire. These events will commence again online very soon, with more details to follow.

Lucy Dowson, added: “We have a number of events planned in the pipeline. Visit Buckinghamshire & The Chilterns is working with Buckinghamshire Business First and other local and national partners to put measures in place to help our local visitor economy survive and thrive post Covid-19.”
