He was previously working for the charity as an acting CEO, and also worked in other roles within the organisation.

He has been with the charity since its formation in 2021, when three similar resident advice service groups merged. Prior to that, he worked in the Aylesbury Citizens Advice branch.

He said: “I am immensely privileged to have been appointed as CEO of Citizens Advice Bucks. Naturally I am excited about the future filled with opportunities available to CABucks. These opportunities must align with the responsibility I owe to the staff and volunteers of CABucks, the people of Buckinghamshire that we serve, and those we work with to make Bucks a better place.

“As such I intend to keep the same focus: ensuring that all those who are in need of advice are getting the high-quality service they deserve. Because we know that there are many in Bucks who can all too suddenly find that an error, a scammer or just something that is unclear or unjust can have a devastating impact on their lives. I look forward to making sure we help as many as we can.”

Jane Mordue, chair of the charity, added: “Craig will give this organisation the leadership it needs and deserves. We chose him for two reasons. He is an absolute expert in designing and understanding the services we provide to help people across Buckinghamshire. And, he embodies what we believe in, that everyone is entitled to clear, quality advice and the desire to help people get their lives back on track. Even better is that he is 'home grown' and knows our work at all levels. Welcome Craig!”

Citizens Advice Bucks has research and campaigns teams supporting residents who may feel they have been wronged. It acts as a lobbying charity looking to affect change and expose wrongs.
