Discarded lithium-ion batteries cause truck fire in Aylesbury
Bucks and MK fire and rescue were called to the scene earlier today on Pembroke Road.
The Bucks Herald is pleading with readers to not throw away lithium ion batteires, as they cause fires in refuse disposal trucks.
The fire started on Pembroke Close, Aylesbury.
Two fire trucks and crews attended the blaze.
A statement from Bucks and MK Fire said:
"Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury attended.
"Firefighters used two hose reels, two sets of breathing apparatus and a toolkit.
"The fire is believed to have been caused by discarded lithium-ion batteries."
