Each day, Thomas Dell, from Cuddington will be running 26.2 miles, sometimes split over two runs throughout the day.

Thomas is an experienced runner who has previously run a 2hr 35m marathon in Berlin two years ago.

He said that an injury and a marathon Cancellation has left him raring to go in 2021.

Thomas said: "Last year's been absolute gutting with regards to my running.

"I was supposed to run the Frankfurt Marathon in October 2019 but I got really badly injured, then I trained for the Wrexham Marathon and got myself into shape for that before it was cancelled because of Coronavirus.

"I thought, I'm not letting that happen this year and wanted to do something big to get the year off to a flyer."

Thomas will be balancing his marathon running with his full time job as an engineer.

On the first of January, he ran a marathon in 3hrs and 33 minutes.

On the second, he did two halves throughout the day, one at 1hr 45m and the second at 1hr 46m.

On the third, he split the running over a morning 27.2km and an evening 15km.

Today, Thomas did a 30km run, starting at 4am and will complete a 12.2km run this evening.

Thomas said: "My girlfriend Megan suggested I run for MIND mental health charity and I thought it was a great idea.

"We wanted to raise money for MIND, because everyone has had such a tough year and they do some absolutely fantastic work, which is needed more than ever as people are facing isolation in lockdown.

"I've hopefully just got to manage my injuries now, everyday something different will pop up with little things hear and there, but as long as I can stay on top of them

"It's a huge challenge but I'm looking forward to it."

Thomas has been posting regularly to Instagram, and was gobsmacked when George Ezra the musician reposted his story.

"It's been a whirlwind so far, i've been getting loads of calls of journalists and all sorts of people. I just want to get stuck into it now!"
