Aylesbury Vale care home scores 100% caregiver satisfaction rate

For the third year running, the at-home care company is celebrating being a Five Star Employer due to the outstanding results from the independent survey run by WorkBuzz, but this year the results come a year into one of the toughest crises the social care sector has ever seen.

Throughout the pandemic, Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire has had to contend with new guidance from Public Health England, especially with regards to PPE, as well as deal with the everyday challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic.

Lee Harrington, owner of Home Instead Aylesbury Vale and North East Oxfordshire, says: “Our team of caregivers have certainly been put through their paces over the past 12 months. These outstanding survey responses are a testament to how hard they have worked throughout the pandemic.”

Lee continued: “We carefully match our clients and caregivers through shared interests and our visit times are a minimum of an hour, allowing time to build meaningful relationships. It’s really important for us to understand what motivates our team and to make sure we have happy workers. If our caregivers aren’t happy, then it’s unlikely that our clients will be.”

Clients are supported to live as independently as possible, by caregivers that they come to know well and who visit for a minimum of an hour at a time. Caregivers’ duties range from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, shopping and errands.
