Only Fools star casts spell on Grove panto

SUE Holderness, who plays the larger than life Marlene Boyce in Only Fools and Green Green Grass has been confirmed as the star for this year’s Grove Theatre pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

We may only just be having our summer but the Dunstable venue is already doing a roaring trade in tickets for this Christmas and this year’s panto at the Grove is set to be one of the Dunstable venue’s strongest yet.

General manager, Jo Ditch, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sue over the festive season for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Sue has had a long and varied stage and screen career beginning with A Midsummer Night’s Dream and going on to include That’ll Be The Day, and Rowan Atkinson’s girlfriend in Canned Laughter. But it’s as Boycie’s long-suffering wife, Marlene that she’ll be best remembered even touring with John Challis in Boycie and Marlene.
