A frenetic farce with a sparkling plot, the play is centred on the class prejudices of middle-class England.
There are ridiculous foreigners, jealous husbands, gossiping women and a plot which involves one of the most lecherous characters indulging in a cross-dressing escapade with a laundry basket!
Marlon Gill, who has performed in a variety of local productions including Pendley, returns to the stage as the eccentric Welsh Parson Sir Hugh Evans.
Festival director Helen Mumby says: “Pendley is the perfect family event and this year’s plays promise entertainment for everyone.” For details call 01442 820060.
