An al fresco night of lust and passion at the manor

ENJOY an al fresco evening of love and laughter as the Pendley Open Air Shakespeare Festival begins its second week on Tuesday, August 9, with The Merry Wives of Windsor.

A frenetic farce with a sparkling plot, the play is centred on the class prejudices of middle-class England.

There are ridiculous foreigners, jealous husbands, gossiping women and a plot which involves one of the most lecherous characters indulging in a cross-dressing escapade with a laundry basket!
