Swan on song for music fest

THE year’s first Swan festival of music, in Stewkley, kicks off at 3pm on June 4. An impressive line-up begins with duo “Dizzie” who play an eclectic mix of covers ranging from Abba to ZZ Top, covering classic rock, modern pop, 80s New Wave and acoustic.

Following them is local band “Earth Experiment”, a five-piece band playing original material with a heavy blues and soul driven groove, including their Hammond organ driven single People, due for release on AWAL in June.

Completing an impressive line-up is “Maxwell Hammer and Smith”, voted the UK’s no. 1 harmony band, playing songs from ELO to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

Alongside the music, there will be a pig roast, barbecue, bouncy castle and a mouth-watering variety of guest beers. A purpose-built stage will ensure a bird’s eye view of the bands and marquees will provide shelter from rain and sun. Entry is free.
