Craft work set to rock Stoke Hammond

A FINE arts, crafts and interior design exhibition, showcasing the work of local makers, designers and artists will be held in Stoke Hammond later this month.

The three day show includes cabinet work, wood turning, wood carving, joinery, paintings, drawings, textiles, metalwork, ceramics and basketwork.

The aim is to have items on sale to suit all budgets, from affordable gifts to inspirational large-scale bespoke projects for the home.

“Whether your tastes are contemporary or traditional, if you appreciate fine quality and workmanship there will be something for you,” said event organiser, Mike Wood.

“This is our first work as a collective and we will be on hand throughout to discuss our work and any other bespoke projects you may have.”

The Designer Maker Collective was formed in 2011 by a group of artisans based in the Bucks, Beds and Oxfordshire area, who hope this will be the first of many exhibitions for the public.

Hosted at the C2 Gallery in Stoke Hammond, a special preview takes place on Friday May 25 from 6.30pm - 9pm, while the main event runs from 10am - 5.30pm on May 26 and 27.

Entry is free and 10 per cent of all proceeds from sales go to the Greensand Trust.
