Blockbuster movie hits on the big screen

Buckinghamshire actor and Gavin and Stacey star James Corden, who is currently enjoying massive success as a chat show host in America, stars in one of the films being shown outdoor on massive screens in the grounds of Waddesdon Manor this
summer.

Corden, who grew up in Hazelmere, plays the baker in Into The Woods which also stars Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick and Emily Blunt.

Based on the popular stage musical, Into The Woods tells the tale of a witch teaching lessons to various characters of popular children’s stories including Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Jack and the Beanstalk.

The film is on at Waddesdon on Saturday, September 5.

The night before, on Friday September 4, an old time classic, Singin’ in the Rain, starring Gene Kelly, will be presented. On both nights gates open at 6.30pm and the film starts around 8pm when it is dark enough to see the screen properly.
