BIRTHDAYS. Father Boswell will be 87 years old on October 30 and is still in a residential home in Northampton, where he is well looked after.
Christina Edmans, a longtime resident of Westcott, when she was a friend to so many, has a birthday on October 28. She has visits from ex-neighbours from time to time in the care home in Aylesbury where she now lives.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING at 7.3
0pm on Tuesday October 30 in the cricket pavilion. First item is always questions from those in attendance in open forum.

St Mary's Church. The harvest festival service was held on Sunday October 7. The church was beautifully decorated with flower arrangements and produce later sold for Christian Aid. The Rev Liz Welters aimed her talk to the children with visual aids.

Liz is organising an alternative Hallowe'en called The Amazing Technicolour Party for ages 5-12 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Tuesday October 30 in Waddesdon Village Hall. Bookings are essential as places are limited, so use the page from the church magazine to book or email lizwelters@yahoo.co.uk

Deadline is Tuesday october 23. The event includes fun and games, crafts, entertainments and food. Everything is free and Liz asks that you wear something bright and colourful. Parents who bring children can stay but will have to help.

ST EDMUND'S CHURCH. Although the barbecue held in September was not intended to be so much a fundraising event as a social occasion, it was a bonus that it raised £396.94.

SCHOOL. Parents of children born between September 1, 2003 and August 31, 2004 must register them no later than November 16 if they want them to attend Westcott School. Details are on the parish notice-board, and from the admissions team, telephone 383250.
