THE REPAIRS from the A41 t0 Burnham Road could not be done because of the wet road conditions.
A new date is to be notified later.

PARISH COUNCIL. A full report in the meeting held on Tuesday December 11 will appear in the new year.

REFUSE AND RECYCLING COLLECTIONS. Change of dates. Monday December 24, as usual; Monday December 31, on Wednesday January 2; January 7 will be on Tuesday January 8,

ST EDMUND'S Church. Marie Edmans, who was about to move from Grendon Underwood to Launton, was at Mass at St Edmund's on the Sunday before she died suddenly. Condolences go to her family which includes those who live in Westcott.

FATHER WILBUR BOSWELL had been bed-bound for a while before his peaceful death on Saturday at the residential home in Northampton which had been his home for over tree years. See Obituary in this week's newspaper. An appreciation of his life and work in the Long Crendon parish (which includes Westcott) will appear in this column later.

A REMINDER that this column will not be published for the next two weeks. Copy for the edition of Wednesday January 9 must reach me by January 1.
