YOUNGSTERS WIN ATHLETICS SHOWDOWN
(Friday May 30) YOUNGSTERS from Vale of Aylesbury gained a convincing win in Division 1 of UK Athletics Young Athletes' League at Perivale.
Vale won the match against teams from Ealing & Southall, Southampton and Team Solent by more than 40 points.
The youngsters achieved no fewer than 42 AAA graded performances.
One of the highlights was Ria Bell's grade one performance of 9.01 in the Under 13 girls' shot – a new club record.
Lee Shears also distinguished himself when he ran 11.2secs in the under 17 boys' 100m.
