Aylesbury RFC have the chance to crank up the pressure on promotion rivals Royal Wootton Bassett this weekend when they travel to bottom side and already relegated Milton Keynes.

With High Wycombe seemingly on course for the title, the race for the promotion play-off spot looks to be a two-way battle between Aylesbury and Wootton.

Wootton are currently in pole position as they hold a four-point cushion over their rivals, but Aylesbury can keep the pressure on with a significant win in tomorrow’s game at Milton Keynes, who are currently on an eight-match losing run, before the two sides meet for what could prove to be a season-defining game at Ostler’s Field next weekend.

Ducks head coach Dave Larham said: “This week we must remain focused at Milton Keynes and develop our game management to maintain sustained pressure throughout.”
