The town’s top boxer has announced the date of his next fight.

Nathan Graham will take to the ring on March 17 in Bethnal Green as he starts what he has called a make or break year.

Although Graham doesn’t know he will be facing in the Hard Knocks fight he has already admitted that time is running out for him to make it into the big time.

“I’m training hard and things are going really well. The guys are really putting me through my paces.

“I’m a lot more focused and we’re looking at new fight strategies and that’s going well.

“I’ve said before that this is going to be a busy year. I’m not getting any younger and if I can’t make it in boxing I will need to start thinking about a different way of life.”

If Graham wins his fight in March he will then have to fight and win again before standing a chance of being offered another title fight.

“I want to keep busy and if the fight goes well, depending how well I come out of it, I will be looking to get back in the ring as soon as possible.

“This is such an important year for me. I’ve got my head right now and I’m trying to make this year count.”

Graham wants as many people from the town to come and support him in March..

“The more people I get down the better I will do.”
