YOUNG Aylesbury boxer Shafqat Khan feels hard-done by after a judges’ decision saw him defeated by a single punch.

In his amateur fight on Monday night, the 17-year-old fighter went toe-to-toe with a 25-year-old army boxer in three two-minute rounds.

He said: “The judges gave the score after the three rounds as 13-12 to him.

“I believe I hit him much more than that in the first round alone.

“A lot of people have told me I should have won and I think even his corner were shocked that he’d won.

“At the time I was quite angry but I’m not disheartened at all. I have asked for a rematch but I’m not sure he will accept as I hit him a lot.

“Most of all I’d like to thank God that both of us got out of the ring in one piece.”
