New career high for Halton starlet Dunne
Everyball academy star Katy Dunne is at a career high ranking of 41st after reaching the semi-finals of the ITF Grade A in Osaka.
She beat third seed Elise Mertens before going out to top seed Katerina Siniakova.
She has now qualified for the junior Grand Slam tournaments in 2013 starting with the Australian Open in January.
The 17-year-old is currently taking part in the Lee Duk Hee Cup Chuncheon International Junior Tennis Championships where she defeated Danielle Wagland 6-4, 6-2 today (Tuesday).
