Silverstone confirm new date for next year’s British Grand Prix

Start of the British Grand Prix

Start of the British Grand Prix

A new date has been set for the 2013 British Grand Prix at nearby Silverstone after the FIA World Motor Sport Council confirmed the calendar for next year’s Formula 1™ World Championship.

The three-day event will take place between Friday June 28 and Sunday June 30.

With up to six world champions battling it out at Silverstone, two of which are Brits Jenson Button and newly-signed Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton, there will be plenty for the passionate home fans to cheer about.

It is also the ‘home from home’ race for Red Bull’s Mark Webber who lives closest to the circuit of all the drivers, in Aston Clinton. For tickets visit www.silverstone.co.uk
