The U12s team were a young side, with players from the age of seven and almost all were totally inexperienced. By the end of the season they had won all but one of their games and finished joint top of the league.

On playoff day they beat rivals AHS Hornets in a thrilling semi-final – taking the win in the last minute! In the final, the young side struggled against a strong Didcot Devils team, losing 17 -31 but the experience they gained this season makes them a team to watch in the future.

The U14s are the club’s strongest team in terms of experience, with half the team having been with the club for six or more years.

These years of experience helped the team to finish top of the league and ensured that they ended the season unbeaten. In the playoffs they beat South Bucks Comets to take them through to the final against Luton.

Luton proved to be tough opposition and at the end of the fourth quarter the scores were level at 23 - 23. A nail biting two minutes of extra time saw the Dux come out on top with a score of 30 to 25.

The U18s struggled at the start of the season due to penalty points received as they were short of a full team. However as the season progressed and new players joined, they ended joint second in the league. On playoff day they faced a challenging game against a transformed Chiltern team and lost 22 – 39. Chiltern went on to win the final against the previously unbeaten Shenley Scorpions.

Coaches Haj Bhania and Julian Thurairajah are delighted with the team’s performances and results this season. The club has seen many new members join over the last few months including an upsurge in girls wanting to play basketball.

Next season they hope to have a team in each age group of the Buckinghamshire Basketball League.
