Aylesbury United had to wait until the 87th minute to turn their dominant performance at Egham Town into a winning one as a late own goal saw the Ducks snatch all three points.
The visitors were indebted to goalkeeper Tahj Bell, whose miraculous late save ensured victory and saw United climb up to 11th in Division One Central of the Southern League.
In a poor start, the Ducks conceded a goal after just eight minutes as Sebastien Castello tapped into an empty net following a cross from Josh Andrew, but from that point on the visitors carried the greater attacking threat, yet were frustrated in front of goal as Egham retained their lead to the half-time break.
United continued to threaten in the second half, and their patience was finally rewarded with a Stacey Field equaliser on 65 minutes and then, with time running out, an own goal three minutes from time.
The hosts finally turned on the pressure in the closing moments, and Bell’s late wonder save ensured all three points heading back to Buckinghamshire.
