Rangers slip to ninth after narrow defeat to leaders
Risborough Rangers again produced a battling performance against a side chasing promotion but again came up just short as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Spartan South Midlands League Division One leaders Edgware Town on Saturday.
After last Wednesday’s game against Southall was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Risborough were looking to get back to winning ways but trailed at the break due to a fine header on 30 minutes.
Rangers dominated the second half with plenty of attacking endeavour but just could not find a way through the away side’s stout defending.

Risborough have slipped to ninth as a result of this defeat but they do have up to six games in hand over the teams above them.
