Aylesbury United were beaten 2-1 at AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Tuesday evening after Diamonds scored a last-gasp penalty following a late equaliser from Alex Collard looked to have secured a point for the Ducks.

The newly promoted United Counties League champions had drawn their opening three games, and were held by late goals in their last two matches.

This time though, the late action worked in their favour, as a late penalty awarded against Alex Tokarczyk saw Liam Dolman - a former United loan player when a Northampton Town youngster - scored for a stoppage time winner.

Claudio Hoban had given the hosts a first half lead, before Collard netted on 85 minutes with his second of the season.
