It’s the joy of six for Ducks in winning return to action

Jack Sillitoe kept the Ducks' lead intact

AYLESBURY United moved up to sixth in the table with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Hatfield Town on Wednesday night, their first match for nearly three weeks due to the recent wintry weather.

Goals from Stacey Field and Marcus Sawyer gave United a 2-0 lead after quarter of the game, before a Lewis Hallford long ranger finally put the game beyond Hatfield after the break.

It was not all plain sailing for the hosts, though, as there were some nervy moments for Tony Joyce’s charges. Jack Sillitoe did his bit in the Ducks goal with a number of good saves to preserve a welcome clean sheet.
