Corries started like a train as Aaron West linked up with Trevor Gibbs down the left and fired a shot into the corner of the net.

Five minutes later it was 2-0 as Andy Wheeler King was dumped on his backside and Trevor Gibbs converted the penalty.

It was one-way traffic, with Tring using the wind to their advantage.

Andy Humphreys struck a post and went close on several occasions, before Mark Burfoot was fouled in the box and another spot kick was awarded.

This time, Gibbs fluffed his lines with a tame effort that was easily saved.

Amazingly, Clean Slate got back into it at the start of the second half. Dave Adamson failed to gather a through-ball and the home team scored with their first shot.

But then normal service was resumed as Ben Alcock struck the post and Humphreys fired in the rebound.

Soon afterwards, Wheeler King went through and was denied – however he set up Humphreys for his 13th goal of the season.

Wheeler King made it five before the end with a well finished goal.

Tring Corinthians: Adamson, Groves, West, Myatt (Miles), Lear, Burfoot, Wheeler-King, Jary (Salmon), Humphreys (Duncan), Alcock, Gibbs.
