After weeks of postponements due to the wintry weather, the Sunday Combination finally saw some long-awaited action at the weekend.

In the SLN Premier, Britannia United are back at the top but got a run for their money against FC Mandeville in a thrilling 4-3 win.

Mo Johnson was the star for Britannia with a brace while Leon Harding and Jack Welch also got on the scoresheet.

There was another seven-goal thriller in the game between AYFC Sunday and Bucks FC.

It was AYFC that came out on top with strikes from Vinny Greco, Luke Norris, Rob Goldney before Ben George’s 88th minute winner.

Raymond Long and Ricardo Humphries (2) scored for Bucks.

In Division One, Phoenix St Johns had an easier ride in their 4-1 victory over FC Unique.

Kyle Kilmartin, Steve Lindsey, Shazeb Khan and Jeremy Robinson got the goals for St Johns.

Thame Town Wanderers and Bedgrove Dynamos had a close game, with the Wanderers coming out on top 2-1.

Phil Barlett scored Bedgrove’s goal.

Weston Turville were well beaten 5-1 by Excel Dents in the final game.

Stuart Green got the villagers’ consolation as Jodean Horwood (2), Matt Ellis, Nick Kitchen and Richard Young sealed a comfortable afternoon.
