The line-up for the Sheffield Jackman Cup final has been confirmed following the latest round of matches in the Aylesbury & District League.

With the ADL Reserve Cup (March 30) and Dayla-sponsored Thomas Field Shield scheduled for Good Friday, the next final will be in the Sheffield Jackman Cup between Longwick Sports and FC Mandeville.

Mandeville needed extra time to squeeze past 10-man Ludgershall 2-1; Steve Keating and Dom Mitchell scoring the goals with Steve Wright sent off 26 seconds after coming on as a sub.

Longwick reached the final in more emphatic style as the hammered Quainton 6-0. Luke Norris grabbed a brace and there was also a goal each for Liam McElhinney, Liam O’Donnell, Tom Keen and Giorgio Magnacavello.

In the Premier Division, Bucks CC maintained their slim hopes of finishing second with a 3-1 win over Elmhurst, Carl Moreton (2) and Lewis Creser taking advantage of some iffy goalkeeping.

Haddenham Utd beat bottom side Downley Albion 6-0 after goals from Aaron Rogers (2), Oli Gasgoyne (2), Rich Jewell and Darren Gasgoyne.

Division One is heading for an exciting climax, both at the top and the bottom. Leaders Wendover were held 1-1 by battling Oving after Jamie Spurden’s strike was cancelled out by a deflected Josh Dance free-kick.

APR closed the gap further - they’re now just two points behind Wendover following an 8-3 win away at relegation-threatened Bedgrove United. Chris Davies and Aaron Bonham both bagged hat-tricks.

Bedgrove Dynamos boosted their hopes of a top five finish courtesy of a 5-1 win over Wingrave. Ashton Lawler, Matt O’Donovan, Tijeanne Bartley and Nick Gibbons (2) on the score sheet.

In Division Two, Bucks CC Reserves all but sealed runners-up spot with a 4-2 away win at FC Spandits Reserves as Ryan Hamilton hit a brace and Andy Wright and Durelle Palmer scored one apiece.

Haddenham Utd Reserves ended Tring Titans’ mini-revival with a 4-0 win following goals from Adam Krol (2), Dave Daley and James Bloomfield.

The game of the day came in Division Three when title rivals Long Marston Reserves met league leaders Tring Town AFC, and it was the former who came out on top, winning 2-1 to end Tring’s undefeated run. Marston must now win all of their remaining games to clinch the title at Tring’s expense.

The Division Four table has now been finalised after Waddesdon Reserves failed to field a team against The Kennedy in the last match of the season. AC Meadowcroft are guaranteed fourth as a result.

In the Senior Subsidiary Cup, Stone Magnets drew 1-1 thanks to Thomas Hudson’s goal, while in the Junior Subsidiary Cup Group, AC Meadowcroft battled on with 10 men and held SUFC to a thrilling 4-4 draw. Iliaas Bendefa scoring all four for the away side with Paul Gardner (2) Matus Samcik and Josh Edworthy hitting back for the hosts.

Ludergshall Reserves lost 2-1 at home to Great Milton, who now top the group. Daniel Smith and Mark Winfield on the score sheet.

In Group B, leaders FC Mandeville Reserves won their third on the bounce 2-0 away at Tring Titans Reserves. Tetsworth Reserves beat Bedgrove Dynamos Reserves 3-2 in the final game.
