QUAINTON's Jack Smith remains top of the pile in the Formula Jedi Championship...
...after two podium finishes at Silverstone earlier this month.

The 19-year-old drove well to extend his lead at the top of the driver's championship, which he now heads by over 50 points after four races.

Silverstone hosted Races Three and Four of the series on April 12-13 and Smith was right at the sharp end of both. Smith came third in Race 3, narrowly missing out on runners-up spot by 0.6 seconds. Former champion Nigel Reuben won that one, but was left cursing his luck in Race 4 when he was unable to finish.

Youngster Smith took advantage of the champ's absence to finish second in a time of 20.19.370 - behind Frazer Corbyn (20.19.016) - and rack up some important points.

Smith, who finished third in last year's championship, will hope to maintain his good form going into the next meeting at Oulton Park (International) on May 10.
