Substitute Nathan Graham struck with just two minutes to go to give his side a 1-0 win on Tuesday night.

Both sides had ample opportunities to win the game in normal time, with Aylesbury almost snatching a goal moments before the final whistle, only for Kevin Mealor's header to miss the target.

And the visitors - only playing at Dunstable's Creasey Park Stadium because of flooding at their Haywood Way ground - survived an extra time scare when the home side hit the crossbar.

Victory was sealed when Graham tucked home Gareth Price's deflected shot.

Following the game, FC boss Mark Eaton said: "It was a long time coming, at some points it look like both teams were playing for penalties.

"In the first half we looked second best at times, but as the game went on we started to get into it.

"We dominated the game in the second half, but they (Dunstable) had the more clear cut chances, they could have won it.
"Our final ball was really poor, we didn't really capitalise on our position."

And Eaton said that after an enforced winter break, he was pleased his side finally took to the field.

He said: "It was a good run-out, we haven't played in a long time so it was good for fitness."

On Saturday, FC have a home match lined up against struggling Kentish Town, although flooding fears mean the game is subject to a pitch inspection.
