The result leaves United bottom of the Southern League Division One Midlands.

Following the fans' forum after the match the club released the following statement:

'Following Aylesbury United's 5-2 defeat at home to Slough Town the club held a fans forum, giving the supporters the opportunity to hear the clubs plans for the future, outlined by Chairman Graham Read and Manager Tony Joyce followed by a question and answer session to Graham, Tony and members of the committee.

'The atmosphere was very light-hearted and positive as supporters heard of the clubs two pronged plan to get the ducks back to playing football in Aylesbury again, sooner rather than later.

'The first includes a link up with Sporting Solutions to produce a feasibility study outlining plans to develop a sports stadia on the site at the rear of Aylesbury College, which would provide facilities for local sports clubs and community groups as well as Aylesbury United.

'The second scenario would see United take steps to invoke the ten year agreement to ground share at Haywoods Way with Aylesbury FC with the help of AVDC.

'On the playing side, in the last week Tony Joyce has enjoyed an increase in his playing budget which has seen him working flat out to bring in some experienced players from clubs playing at a higher level to balance with the exiting youngsters that currently make up the first team squad.

'The clubs links with the Aylesbury College and Hale Leys teams is developing well and it is hoped that as the three teams grow closer players will progress from the college's under 19 side, through Hale Leys at intermediate level and onto the Ducks senior side.

'At least two people present offered their services to help out behind the scenes with the club and suggestions were made to raise funds for the club in the absence of a sponsor and with that the meeting was closed'.
