IN A CLOSE contest, Natasha Gough won the Ellesborough Ladies Club Championship by one shot from seven times previous winner Fiona Thompson.
After the morning round, the two were locked together on gross 76, three shots ahead of Jess Burrows in third place.

In the afternoon round, Natasha dropped three shots behind Fiona
after scoring a triple bogey on the par five second hole.

Keeping her composure she gradually clawed her way back and with three holes to go into a one shot lead, which she held to the finish
to give her a 36 hole gross winning score of 151.

Jess dropped away in the afternoon to record a gross of 162 but
she held on to third place ahead of Natalie Robinson.

Gough also won the handicap prize on countback from Asa Graham with a nett score of 141.

Natasha was delighted to 'keep it in the family' as her sister Steph,
who is currently on a golf scholarship at Middle Tennessee State University, won the Championship and handicap prizes last year.
