We are going in search of Lady and the Scamp, and the two winning dogs will net their owners a weekend break in a dog friendly hotel.
The competition is being sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council and each week there will be tips and advice from the council for dog owners.
So how does it all work?
We have been and are still inviting readers to send in a picture of their pet dog together with the completed entry form.
You can also enter your dog by emailing a photo together with the entry form details to
editorial@bucksherald.co.uk. Please put Lady and the Scamp in the heading.
The photographs will be published in the Herald and once the closing date for entries has been reached we will be inviting readers to vote for their top male and female dogs.
Various voting options will be available including a form in the paper, texting, phone line and email.
Entries will also be posted on this website. Once the votes have been cast the final six male and six female dogs with the largest number of votes will be published with readers again voting for their favourite pet from the finalists.
At this crucial stage of the final our video news journalist Damien Lucas will visit all 12 homes and interview the owners with their dogs.
These interviews will be available to view on our website to help readers choose their favourite Lady and Scamp!
For the winners there will be a prestigious BHADA award - Bucks Herald Adorable Dog Award - for the Lady and the Scamp.
Both winning dogs will enjoy a weekend break with their owners in a dog friendly hotel.
Please put your dog's name and address on the back of the photo. ***NOTE - No mobile phone photographs and we are unable to return photographs.***
