TODAY'S online calendar picture is a snapshot of rural life in the Vale with the beautiful Chiltern hills in the background.
Thanks to Mel Smith for this great picture of a farmer ploughing his field near Haddenham with the Chiltern hills looming large as a backdrop.

Mel said he was anxious to capture the essence of autumn. "Well it appears that there is a lot of ploughing going on up and down the Aylesbury Vale at the moment. So I thought to myself 'get your wellies on, grab your camera and get out there and get a photo of this typical autumn scene," he said.

The photo was taken on farm land off the Aylesbury to Thame road.
