Today's online calendar picture is a close up shot of a banded damselfly resting on a leaf.
Mel Smith, of Haddenham, took this sensational picture of a Banded Damselfly, on the River Thame at Winchendon.

Of his picture ,he said: "It took a lot of patience to get this shot but nevertheless worth all the effort and time. There seems to be an abundance of this species this year, albeit a little late."
