Looking back from saving it to saying farwell

Save it Day in Prestwood, March 19 edition:
About 180 children from Prestwood Middle School were shown the principles of energy saving when a play called E is for Energy was performed there. The play was sponsored by the Department for Energy, and demonstrated how people can make more efficient use of resources.
Sainsbury's opens new store in Aylesbury, April 2 edition:
Sir John Sainsbury, chairman of the supermarket giant, opened the company's new store in Buckingham Street, Aylesbury on March 31. One hundred and seventy staff from the old premises in Friars Square had been transferred to the new shop, and an additional 54 jobs were also created.
United out after superb cup run, April 28 edition:
Aylesbury United were finally knocked out of the FA Trophy after a superb run which took them to the quarter-finals of the competition. More than 2,600 fans saw The Ducks get beat 1-0 at home in a replay against Sutton Utd. Leo Markham's men had previously claimed a huge scalp against Enfield to get to the later stages, which The Bucks Herald had labelled as the greatest night in the town's footballing history.
Service of Witness in Aylesbury, April 23 edition:
More than 300 worshippers took part in a service of witness held in Aylesbury town centre. Gathering in the Market Square they sang hymns, said prayers, and then walked in a silent procession behind the Cross to the Methodist Church.
Smiles and tears in Haddenham, April 23 edition:
The Rev John Pollard, the vicar of Haddenham, held a special thanksgiving service for the children of the village's Church of England School to mark its closure after 132 years.
The 112 pupils were set to move to a brand new school built on land behind the church.
Pauline Woods, headmistress, said the day was a mixture of happy and sad emotions.
"We have children here whose grandfathers learned their lessons in the same rooms - but on the other hand we have outside toilets, no canteen and no hall here," she said.
