We're proud of grammar schools in Bucks

Dear Editor,
I think the anti-grammar school brigade in Buckinghamshire are tiresome and flogging a dead horse - we've had them here for centuries and are proud of them; they are thriving academically, provide outreach for other schools and in this day and age, where most Aylesbury schools have other specialisms - they are part of a very embracing and creative system. There are many other counties which don't have them, so why do the anti-grammar school lot decide to move here and bring up their children in our schools? When you relocate, you need to bear this in mind - if you're from here originally, you can't complain! It's like going to Delhi and complaing about the local temples or visiting Rome and wanting to bulldoze the Coliseum in favour of a chrome and pyrex dome - ludicrous!!
